Literary Analysis of Kate Grenvilles The Secret River Essay
Kate Grenville is one of Australiaââ¬â¢s best known authors, she was born in 1950 in Sidney, Australia. She has won many national and international awards for her writing about Australiaââ¬â¢s past and the interactions that may have been taking place between the first settlers and the aborigines. The Secret River was one of these popular novels, which is exploring the past, although it is only historical fiction. The inspiration for writing these historical fictions, came from the fact that she did not knew much about her ancestors which settled on a river named Hawkesbury River in New South Wales. William Thornhill is a convict, who has been transported by the ship Alexander to his new home in His Majestyââ¬â¢s penal colony with his family in 1806,â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦His skin swallowed the light and made him not quite real, something only imaginedâ⬠ââ¬â page 2, section 5. The description of this native man is highly connected and dependent on the narrators experience and thoughts in the situation. The narrator significantly controls the reader; we get a sense of understanding for his situation, we share his concerns and fear because we are able to read his thoughts, and that may be the main reason for why Kate Grenville uses this narration type. William Thornhill is a convict likely from England, who has been sent to His Majestyââ¬â¢s penal colony, he is married and a father to two children as well. There is not much information regarding his physical appearance in the novel, although there are many psychological indicators. William is suffering mentally because he knows that he will never return home. ââ¬Å"This was a place, like death, from which men did not return homeâ⬠and ââ¬Å"He would die here under these alien stars, his bones rot in this cold earthâ⬠These statements or thoughts indicates clearly what he fears, but before the night is through he gets other concerns, such as his and the familyââ¬â¢s security. The situation with the aborigine shows the kind of person he is, he is not afraid to protect his family even though he is unarmed. The novel is taking place in New South Wales in 1806 at a little penal colony, which is located next to a hill and a bay where the ship Alexander

Case Study of IPD Company Free Essays
Basing on the Information provided In the case material and refers to our class learning, the causes of the ineffectiveness of the performance appraisal program which installed in the BID Company are as follows: Goal misalignment with companyââ¬â¢s overall goal Whenever appropriate, employeesââ¬â¢ performance goals should be ensured aligning tit organizationââ¬â¢s what an organization exists for, things that an organization and Its employees consider Important and desirable, courses of action to achieve organizationââ¬â¢s overall goals. Aligning employee performance goals is known as the Strategic Role of performance appraisal. In this case, we can see that the company had enjoyed good profitability by emphasizing excellent service quality before the performance appraisal program was Installed, three major departments which of Front office Is responsible for communicate with both external clients and Internal co-workers, the first stage of heir working chain and also the door of business of the company; Warehousing department responsible for inventory control, this is the second stage of the working chain to ensure the warehouse has sufficient inventory; Delivery department responsible for transporting the products to retail for selling, this is the third stage of the working chain which provide sufficient supply for frontline sales. We will write a custom essay sample on Case Study of IPD Company or any similar topic only for you Order Now Refer to their job description, the weight of mission, values and strategies of the BID Company somehow is approach to provide services to clients and emphasis on laity but quantity thus meet with overallââ¬â¢s goal rather than others. After the new program has launched, it was not exercise properly the strategic role of performance appraisal and learnt the lesson In the hard way because the program approach to measuring what employees produce but how employees do their Job, It focus on quantity rather than overall quality and corporate communication. For example, front office staffs performance measured by number of orders taken per person per week but no approach to measure the service and communication quality; warehousing Taft measured by number of cases of product handled per man-hour and time required to load each truck but no mention of communication and occupational safety standard; as for truck driver, performance is measured by the length of time to criterion. A performance management system would be only effective when the employees in BID Company are clear about their duties and Job standards and match with the organizational goals so that they work with their full potential to meet organizational objectives. Any misalignment would seriously undermine the performance of an organization 2. Discuss how to improve the Companyââ¬â¢s performance planning and propose a set of performance evaluation criteria that you consider appropriate for the Companyââ¬â¢s three major department. A major challenge for The BID Company is to have employees who are passionate about what they do and constantly strives to perform at their best. The aim of which is to ensure that the employeeââ¬â¢s performance is supporting the strategic aims. The consensus of most existing research on appraisal systems is that to be effective, the appraisal process must be considered fair and accurate by those having their reference evaluated, set in establishing performance goals should accordance to employeesââ¬â¢ duties and responsibilities, as for appropriate performance evaluation criteria that Vive propose for the companyââ¬â¢s three major department are as follows: Front office Since office staff is responsible for receiving and processing orders, it involves telephone services manner to both internal and external parties so that telephone service performance at front office should be including measure both behavior and result: 1 . Telephone service manner as rated monthly by supervisor should 4 or above on a 5-point Liker Scale. 2. Incoming calls answered within three rings in a month should be 90% or higher. 3. Customer satisfaction monthly rating on telephone service should be 4 or above on a 5-point Liker Scale. 4. Number of customer complaints per month on telephone service should be 3 or lower. Warehousing department Warehouse staff responsible for receiving, storing and loading computer products on trucks, the evaluation criteria should be focused on result and behavior: 1 . Communication with front office as rated monthly by supervisor should 4 or above on a 5-point Liker Scale. . Receiving and storing computer products which from front office should be finished within a day. 3. Time to load each truck per month should be average 30 minutes or lower. 4. Number of warehouse accidents per month should be lower than 1. Delivery department Delivery department responsible for transporting the computer products to retail outlets, it involves time management and driving safety and so that the evaluation criteria should be focused on result: 1 . Delivery products to retail in a month should time needs for delivery in each route. 2. Products must be 100% in good condition whether received from warehousing department and/or delivered to retail. 3. Recommend what other actions the Company should take to make the performance appraisal program become a big success. Performance appraisal is a system where not every employee in the company may like but every employee should be treated as the same because they are a huge part of a company in order for the company to become successful. Thus, a few suggestions are recommended for the appraisal system in BID Company, to be better serving as an effective efficient system. One of the things on is to offer proper training to each line supervisors. Through raining, supervisors may then rank the employees with correct Judgment. This will mean that there is no sign of them using progressive discipline. In simpler term, no bias error will occur. Secondly, positive feedback on performance related to goals shall be conducted, as this will gives the worker a sense of achievement, recognition and accomplishment, in which the company might miss it. Thirdly, BID Company needs to incorporate multiple sources of information from peers, subordinates, customers, and employee self-evaluations. The company will want to conduct additional research on how these types of measures can be reliably ND validly developed and integrated into the appraisal process. This helps reducing sampling error by increasing the number of observations and reduces the effect of possible biases. This way, the supervisors and managers will feel more comfortable, since they are no longer solely responsible for what happens to the person as a result of the rating. Probably there are still many ways to be researched and then be conducted. However, I do think these three ways are as important as they will lead the performance appraisal to a better system in BID Company. How to cite Case Study of IPD Company, Free Case study samples

Brazil Essay Example For Students
Brazil Essay Today over 60 million people practice Vodun worldwide. Religious similar to Vodun can be found in South America where they are called Umbanda, Quimbanda or Candomble. It is widely practiced in Benin, where it is the official religion. Vodun (a.k.a. Vodoun, Voudou, Voodoo, Sevi Lwa) is commonly called Voodoo by the public. The name is traceable to an African word for spirit. Voduns roots go back to the West African Yoruba people who lived in 18th and 19th century Dahomey. That country occupied parts of todays Togo, Benin and Nigeria. Slaves brought their religion with them when they were forcibly shipped to Haiti and other islands in the West Indies. the actual religion, Vodun practiced in Benin, Haiti, Dominican Republic and various centers in the US largely where Haitian refuges have settled. an evil, imaginary religion, which we will call Voodoo. It has been created for Hollywood movies, complete with voodoo dolls, violence, bizarre rituals, etc. It does not exist in reality, except in the minds of most non-Voduns. History of Vodun in the West Slaves were baptized into the Roman Catholic Church upon their arrival in Haiti and other West Indian islands. However, there was little Christian infrastructure present during the early 19th century to maintain the faith. The result was that the slaves largely followed original native faith. This they practiced in secret, even while attending Mass regularly. An inaccurate and sensational book (S. St. John, Haiti or the Black Republic) was written in 1884. It described Vodun as a profoundly evil religion, and included lurid descriptions of human sacrifice, cannibalism, etc. , some of which had been extracted from Vodun priests by torture. This book caught the imagination of people outside the West Indies, and was responsible for much of the misunderstanding and fear that is present today. Hollywood found this a rich source for Voodoo screen plays. Horror movies began in the 1930s and continue today to misrepresent Vodun. It is only since the late 1950s that accurate studies by anthropologists have been published. Other religions (Macumba, Candomble, Umbanda and Santeria) bear many similarities to Vodun. Vodun Beliefs Vodun, like Christianity, is a religion of many traditions. Each group follows a different spiritual path and worships a slightly different pantheon of spirits, called Loa. The word means mystery in the Yoruba language. Yoruba traditional belief included a chief God Olorun, who is remote and unknowable. He authorized a lesser God Obatala to create the earth and all life forms. A battle between the two Gods led to Obatalas temporary banishment. There are hundreds of minor spirits. Those which originated from Dahomey are called Rada; those who were added later are often deceased leaders in the new world and are called Petro. Some of these are Agwe: spirit of the sea Aida Wedo: rainbow spirit Ayza: protector Baka: an evil spirit who takes the form of an animal Baron Samedi: guardian of the grave Dambala (or Damballah-wedo): serpent spirit Erinle: spirit of the forests Ezili (or Erzulie): female spirit of love Mawu Lisa: spirit of creation Ogou Balanjo: spirit of healing Ogun (or Ogu Bodagris): spirit of war Osun: spirit of healing streams Sango (or Shango): spirit of storms Yemanja: female spirit of waters Zaka (or Oko): spirit of agriculture There are a number of points of similarity between Roman Catholicism and Vodun: both believe in a supreme being the Loa resemble Christian Saints, in that they were once people who led exceptional lives, and are usually given a single responsibility or special attribute. both believe in an afterlife both have as the centerpoint of their ceremony a ritual sacrifice and consumption of flesh and blood both believe in the existence of invisible evil spirits or demons followers of Vodun believe that each person has a met tet (master of the head) which corresponds to a Christians patron saint. .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 , .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 .postImageUrl , .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 , .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3:hover , .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3:visited , .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3:active { border:0!important; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3:active , .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3 .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u97c94c717c397c85eb82807a60836ba3:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Internet voting Essay Followers of Vodun believe that each person has a soul which is composed of two parts: a gros bon ange or big guardian angel, and a ti bon ange or little guardian angel. Was Machiavelli Satan Essays - Machiavellianism, The Prince
Was Machiavelli Satan? The Church accused Niccolo Machiavelli of being Satan for writing his book The Prince. Machiavelli completed The Prince in 1513. He wrote it as a gift to Lorenzo Medici, called the Magnificent, ruler of Florence. The political views Machiavelli expressed in his book went against the theology of the Church, specifically the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes. Machiavelli wrote to gain control of a principality one must be brutal. (I)f you are a prince in possession of a newly acquired state and deem it necessary. . . to annihilate those who can or must attack you. . . . , you must do so to protect your principality. He gave the example of Duke Valentino's slaying of his nobles to maintain order, saying if Valentino had not killed his men, Valentino would have lost power. The Bible strongly forbids the killing of anyone. The Sixth Commandment states You shall not murder. In what is known as the Beatitudes, from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, the Bible also says those who are meek shall inherit the earth. A meek person certainly does not kill others for standing in his or her way like Machiavelli is suggesting to be done. Another verse from the Beatitudes says those who are peacemakers will be called sons of God. Peacemakers do not kill either. For Machiavelli to say if killing a person is for the betterment of your principality, then to do so went against God's rule and the Church's. True followers of the Church abide by the Church beliefs, because if you are not for God, you are for Satan. As a ruler a prince must make certain pledges and steadfast promises; however, Machiavelli reasons that a prince does not have to keep his word all the time. The prince can pledge one thing under certain circumstances; but if those circumstances change, he is free to change his pledge if the change should benefit his situation. For instance, Pope Alexander VI, who reigned before Machiavelli wrote The Prince, made promises more persuasively or swore to them more solemnly and kept so few of them . . . . Pope Alexander VI also got what he wanted by deceiving others. The Beatitudes say those who desire righteousness will be filled; those who are pure of heart will see God. Righteousness and purity do not occur through deception. The ninth of the Ten Commandments says You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor, meaning do not lie. Matthew, the first book of the New Testament, says Do no break your oath . . . . The Church had good reason to disagree with Machiavelli about cra ftiness. Nobility for princes can be seen as one of two ways: generous or parsimonious. If a prince is generous, his generosity usually comes at the expense of his subjects. The prince would have to tax his people heavily in order to give. This will begin to make him odious to his subjects and . . . will lose him the respect of everyone. For a prince to give money, he need not tax his people, rather give what he pillaged and stole while on various campaigns. If a prince is stingy with the peoples money, he will not tax as much; thus, his subjects will honor him more. The teachings of the Church and the Bible promote generosity, and remark that keeping one's wealth to oneself will lead to self destruction, Hell. The teachings likewise include You shall not steal. Although his ideas were contrary to those of the Church and of the Bible, Machiavelli can not be compared with Satan. He was promoting the survival of a principality at any cost. He said a prince will find things which, though seeming good, will lead to his ruin if pursued, and others which, though seeming evil, will result in his safety and well-being. Machiavelli also said that if a ruler gains control by cruelty and wickedness the ruler is without virtue, and he cannot be compared to men of good character. He does not condone this type of behavior, he merely contends it is necessary to exist as a prince. Various people in the Bible killed others. One of

Animal Rights Essay â⬠Check A Sample
Animal Rights Essay ââ¬â Check A Sample The issue of non-human or animal rights raises more and more discussions every year. Animal rights imply that itââ¬â¢s unacceptable to do certain things with animals. The ethical side of the issue pushes us to the idea that ill-treatment of animals is unacceptable. Itââ¬â¢s very important to stop cruelty towards animals that are killed for food or clothing. One of the main points of view regarding animal rights is that itââ¬â¢s inadmissible to use animals for experiments. They cannot be used for food, which means human beings cannot breed them in order to consume them later. Itââ¬â¢s inadmissible to make clothes out of animals, or to use them in medicine. Moreover, animal rights defenders now insist on the prohibition of using animal labor. For example, donkeys, camels and other animals cannot be used for hard labor, under any circumstances. As a rule, people tend to divide animal rights and human rights. However, in terms of morality, there should be no difference between adult animals and adult human beings, since animals also have rights, and humans are also mammals. Many people consider animals to be equal to people, and give a number of arguments in favor of such an assertion. Animals realize themselves, they understand that they are alive, they realize their biological structure. Animals understand what is happening to them; they like some things, and donââ¬â¢t like others. Animals are also capable of making decisions. In terms of ethics, you cannot hunt any animal. Hunting shouldnââ¬â¢t be considered acceptable under any conditions, nor on any grounds. Similarly, itââ¬â¢s immoral to use animals for entertainment, restricting their freedom in zoos, or using them to attract tourists. If we give the same attention to animal rights as human rights, it becomes obvious that any animal has the right to be treated with respect. We must realize the value of each animal as an individual. This means that we must take care of animals, but shouldnââ¬â¢t use them for our own purposes or, even more so, for simple entertainment. For many years, animals have been used for research. Due to such scientific tests, animals die, suffer from pain. Their rights are violated. The essence of this animal rights essay is that animals have the right to live with no human interference, especially in case of drugs testing or other experiments. People constantly use animals as pets. In terms of ethics, dogs, cats, birds and other animals have the right to live their own lives. In the opposite case, given the equal rights of people and animals, this can be considered slavery.

Is It Worth Partnering With A Book Marketer
Is It Worth Partnering With A Book Marketer Is It Worth Partnering With A Book Marketer? Since starting Reedsy, Iââ¬â¢ve heard time and again that ââ¬Å"what authors need most help with is marketing.â⬠But thatââ¬â¢s akin to saying startups like us primarily need help with fundraising; to me, itââ¬â¢s a startup founderââ¬â¢s job to raise funds when the company needs them, just as itââ¬â¢s a writerââ¬â¢s task to sell his or her book. Sure, help would be appreciated, but going as far as outsourcing? The best startups donââ¬â¢t do that.Of course, I can see the case for bringing on a marketing specialist, particularly when an author is not technically savvy or familiar with social networks and communities. Still, this raises the question: who is best placed to promote an authorââ¬â¢s work? If promotion isnââ¬â¢t done by the creator himself, isnââ¬â¢t there a chance the message will get lost? These are several of the questions I asked author Jonathan Gould, who decided to partner with book marketer Mike Doane for the promotion of his latest book, Magnus Opum.Book marketer: it begins with strategyââ¬Å"It begins with strategy,â⬠says Gould. ââ¬Å"I have very little idea about how to strategize a book selling campaign. Thatââ¬â¢s where Mike comes in. From the very beginning, we discussed my goals as a writer, and the sorts of books I like to write. From that, Mike can not only give me advice on which readers I should be reaching out to but also suggestions on how to reach them. Together we are in the process of developing an overall strategy that should help get my name out and define me as a writer with a distinct style and voice.â⬠Iââ¬â¢ve gotten to know quite a few authors just like Jonathan: they blog on a regular basis, spend time on Twitter and Facebook, do Goodreads giveaways, and write to bloggers and reviewers. But not everyone takes time to assess their objectives with each of these marketing tasks.A good book marketer can (or should) help you identify your target audience, find ways to reach out to it, and measure the results of your efforts in each marketing ââ¬Å"channelâ⬠so you can focus on the ones that work. You end up doing the work (reaching out to reviewers, interacting with readers, etc.), so it doesnââ¬â¢t endanger your brand image or your relationship-building. And you know why youââ¬â¢re doing what youââ¬â¢re doing.Mike Doane explains: ââ¬Å"I think a lot of authors do those things theyââ¬â¢re supposed to do without knowing the reasons why. ââ¬ËI blog once a weekââ¬â¢ is not a strategy, itââ¬â¢s a tactic. Whatââ¬â¢s even worse is not being able to measure the outcomes, let alone produce outcomes to measure. This is my job. Iââ¬â¢m supposed to help Jonathan understand why heââ¬â¢s using the tactics heââ¬â¢s using, plus find new tactics and help him test them.â⬠Essentially, thatââ¬â¢s what a ââ¬Å"marketing planâ⬠is all about, and there is a certain skill to putting one together that not every author has taken the time to learn. That said, there is a vast amount of content out there around ââ¬Å"book marketingâ⬠, whether in the form of blog posts, podcasts, webinars, online courses, or even books. Our initial thought was that there is no reason why an author couldnââ¬â¢t learn this on his own (while in contrast, specialized skills like editing and design can take years to learn and perfect). So I asked several authors on forums: what does hiring a personal book marketer bring that you couldnââ¬â¢t achieve on your own with enough time and effort?Personalized advice, moral support, and an extra pair of legsAs indie author and marketing consultant Debbie Young told me: ââ¬Å"Authors often have very unrealistic expectations of how hard itââ¬â¢s going to be to market a book. Too often authors get discouraged and stop trying to market at all, but with a little direction and encouragement of the kind Iââ¬â¢m able to offer, they discover that actually there is a lot they can do after all, and they are re-enthused to do it.â⬠The degree of moral support a personalized marketing consultant can give you might actually be the most valuable part of that collaboration. The same way a good content editor can help you gain confidence in your craft, a good book marketer should be able to teach you how to promote your book in a more confident and effective way.Plus, as Jonathan puts it, ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s nice to have an extra pair of legs when it comes to chasing promotional opportunities such as guest posts, interviews, or paid promotions.â⬠This touches on the subject of personal VAs (Virtual Assistants), which was brilliantly covered on Joanna Pennââ¬â¢s blog recently.Flat fee remuneration or royalty-share?Of course, this extra pair of legs doesnââ¬â¢t come for free. And how much (or even how) you should pay for marketing help is a slightly controversial question.Jonathan and Mike have contracted on a royalty-share basis. This is something that you rarely see for editing or design services, but is a much more frequent occurrence in narration (audiobook) or translation services. The logic behind it is pretty simple: a marketerââ¬â¢s only job is to generate sales for your books, so it makes sense to index the marketerââ¬â¢s remuneration on the results of their work. However, in nearly every other marketing-related profession, such as publicity, flat fees are the norm. I donââ¬â¢t know of one good book publicist who works on a royalty-share basis. Mike explains why: ââ¬Å"Any author-publicist contract thatââ¬â¢s based around sales is foolish. Itââ¬â¢s like those SEO companies that promise a #1 position on Google for a given keyword. Thatââ¬â¢s extremely hard to deliver, especially on a budget. Publicists canââ¬â¢t promise things like reviews or sales. There are just too many factors involved.â⬠As marketers develop deeper, longer-lasting relationships with the authors they partner with, royalty- share might make more sense for them than for publicists or SEO specialists. Whether it makes sense to the author is another question, and one that largely depends on sales, budget-consciousness and risk-aversion. Mike suggested to me that he would like to see a flexible model where authors and marketers can choose to work together on a mix of fee and royalty-share.This would have the advantage of keeping a bonus element (royalty) to incentivize the book marketer, while assuring that he gets paid a decent remuneration even if the book fails to sell well. There is no guarantee in book marketing and asking the marketer to assume all the risk makes little sense. In that sense, a hybrid model is certainly worth exploring.Follow Ricardo, the author of this article, and Reedsy on Twitter: @RicardoFayetà andà @ReedsyHQDo you have any questions about book marketing and whether it makes sense at your stage to hire a professional marketer? Design patterns Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Design patterns - Research Paper Example The observer design pattern highlights a one-to-many reliance between a subject object and any amount of server objects. This is significant when the subject object alters situation, all its observer objects will not be updated and notified instinctively (Butler, 2012). The observer design pattern is also used when the subject object is not aware of the number of observer objects present. Finally, it is used if the subject object is required to inform its observer objects without being aware of the nature of the objects. Advantages First, the observer pattern is a terrific way of maintaining action based applications in significant architectures. In a given application, an individual may have a large number of events taking place at the same time in a browser session. Second, a person may reduce event attachment and enable the observable object to deal with the actions on your behalf using a sole event listener and pass on the information to different subscribers, thus lessening spee ding up connection and memory performance. Third, the dynamic link between observer and subject may be instituted at run time. This provides extra programming flexibility. Fourth, there is support for broad communication. The notice is transmitted involuntarily to the interested objects that may subscribe to it (Madsen, 2012). Disadvantages One, there is a lot of cost incurred in load time when installing the observable objects. Two, there are unanticipated updates. Observers are not aware of one another and are oblivious to the cost of alteration in subject. Three, the update dependence may be difficult to discover due to the dynamic association between observers and subject (Madsen, 2012). Creational Pattern: Prototype Creational design patterns refer to design patterns that handle object creation mechanisms, attempting to develop objects in a way fitting to the situation. The prototype design pattern identifies the form of object to develop utilizing a prototypical instance, and develops novel objects through cloning the prototype. The prototype design pattern is used to elude the intrinsic cost of developing a novel object in the conventional way when it is prohibitively costly for a specified application (Chandler & Munday, 2012). In addition, the prototype design pattern is utilized to avert subclasses of an object designer in the application of the client, in the same way as the abstract factory pattern. Advantages One, the prototype design pattern establishes a profound copy of the complicated hierarchy of objects. The prototype design pattern assists in lessening the work given all objects in the composition can enforce ICloneable interface. This is an essential design pattern in copying objects, for example, trees. Two, the design pattern causes a decreased load of initialization. All novel objects developed using the clone technique highlights the precise object form of the initial object (Proctor, 2011). The need of initialization may be tremendous ly lessened by utilizing the prototype design pattern. It allows an individual to develop a clone of the original object developed in the application to readily have the objects initialized to the default or non-default state. Three, the design pattern causes a simplified process of copying objects. Since copying the object is conducted recursively by calling the clone tech
